Because I am so super excited about this new tool,
I simply had to tell you about it.
I'm in the middle of an office design project
And am always on the lookout for simpler ways
To bring online pictures off the screen and into a real life space.
Sherwin Williams has come up with this super cool tool
That you add to your Bookmarks or Dashboard
To help you identify colors in online photos.
It works like this:
Now with just the click of a button, any online
image can turn into a palette of paint colors, with ChipIt!, an interactive tool from Sherwin-Williams. The first-of-its-kind
web-based tool allows users to select any online image and instantly identify the
Sherwin-Williams paint colors that correspond to the colors contained within
the picture. Designers and their clients can now use the colors that inspire
them while surfing the Internet and turn them into paint palettes for any
project."
"To get started, users create a profile at www.letschipit.com and then add the “Chip It!” bookmarklet to their Internet
browser toolbar. This bookmarklet allows users to identify up to ten
Sherwin-Williams paint colors represented in online photos simply by scrolling
over the image. From there, users can add the photo and corresponding color palette
to their Chip It! profile, save it, share the creation socially or
print it out."
It's really just that easy.
I'm "chipping" away, and I love the functionality of the tool,
And the ease of use.
So go try it. And design yourself some beautiful spaces.
