So, now that i've spent time talking about what I want my house to look like...let's talk about what it really DOES look like. The above picture is my front parlor. Cool old double doors and that chair...my, that chair used to be Amish green. Maybe I've learned my lesson...I should always take before AND after pictures. :)
My kitchen! :)
Dining room.
Back stairway. Which my honey thinks should get the first gallon of paint in the house.
Our room. And my "junking" mantle. $2 at a yard sale. Had to say that so I'd remember how fun that day was. It came home roped onto the top of our minivan. Which also shared space with a childs kitchen and a porch swing that day. We must've looked like a basket case going down the road. Nothing like good yard sales!
Back sunroom with windows overlooking the back yard. This room is only accessible through M and I's room so it's "our" spot for hanging out.
V's room.
the boys' room
guest bedroom. I love the way that painting turned out. I used a paint pen to draw the thistles on an old sheet then stapled it onto a piece of plywood and hung it on the wall. I think it fits perfectly.
Front upstairs hallway. Those trunks are some of my favorite pieces. The top is a garment trunk of some sort that actually has wooden hangers especially made for the trunk.

M's "man cave"
The end.
